Makeup anyone?
Today is a better day and things have started to return to normal. My son that was hurt is better today and will continue to heal. The man that hurt him is now in jail. I know if you are reading this you must think that my life is messed up. Well, I agree, sometimes I wish things were different but then again, what would it be like then?
I forget about all of the bad things when the girls are awake, they demand attention every minute they are up. If it is not fixing them something to eat, it is watching them ride their new bicycles, get them a drink, walk them to the bathroom so they can use the potty. All day long it is one thing right after another, don’t get me wrong I am not complaining I love them to pieces. Kids in general are just very demanding, that is how they learn.
The youngest of the two is a little more needy than the older one. If you are not paying attention to her she finds something to get into, usually something that she knows she is not supposed to be getting into. The oldest is very good when it comes to getting into things, she does not like getting in trouble, so she knows not to do the things that her sister does. She actually comes and tells on her sister, usually I have left the room for a few minutes to go to the restroom, soon as I am out of sight the youngest gets into mischief.
I have the house child proofed but that does not stop this little pioneer from trying to get something she had watched me put out of her reach, no matter where that might be. Since their mother came home on Christmas, she brought many new things that peaks a little ones interest, namely makeup. Well, sometimes we do not use good sense, their mother had not put her makeup bag away and left it laying on the bathroom counter when she was getting ready to go to the store. While she was gone I was busy in the kitchen and the youngest said she had to go potty, so I told her to go and did not realize that she had not come out of the bathroom, I thought she was in the living-room with her sister. I then heard something hit the floor in the direction of the bathroom.
Knowing this little girl I better go see what she has gotten into this time. I pushed the bathroom door open and oh my goodness, makeup everywhere. I could not believe my eyes. She had it on her face of course, her neck, chest and since she only had underwear on it was on the underwear, her legs and feet. Then I looked at the toilet where she was standing and she had rubbed it into the lid. It was on the floor, sink and counter as well. I am not exactly sure what kind of make she helped herself to but it was powder foundation, different color powder eye shadow and something that was black, probably mascara. I had to clean the toilet lid with scouring powder. What a mess!! After I cleaned her up and finished cleaning the bathroom, my daughter returned from the store. I told her what had happened and she ended up having to throw away a couple of things in her makeup bag and found that she had also been into two of her lipsticks as well.
The two little girls are a handful but they are worth every minute of every day to me. This is what makes my life bearable when everything is wrong. I took pictures and we will all laugh together one day when she is older.
