Truth or Not the Truth??
Today was filled with rumble from the family about my youngest sons good fortune. He has always tried to fool the whole family with one sort of story or always pulling pranks of some kind.
The first person my son called was his brother(my second oldest) and told him that he had just won a large amount on a scratcher ticket that he just purchased. The older one called me and ask if I had heard, I had not, so he felt that it was another one of those pranks. I agreed because I had not received a call from him. Just as I hung up the phone, it rang again and this time it was my youngest son, all excited and talking fast telling me that he had just won a large sum of money on a scratcher, I told him I did not believe him because he likes to joke all of the time.
He continued to explain about how he had purchased these tickets at the store and sat in the car with his girlfriend and scratched them off and he won. He went on to say how he would see me later but wanted to call some of his friends and tell them.
A little time passed and he called me and said that he was going to the store before coming over to see me and wanted to know if he could pick me up anything, I told him what I needed and we hung up.
He shows up at my house with all of the items I had asked for and much more. He loves his nieces so he came bearing gifts for them.
He then reiterated his story and totally convinced me that he was not joking but telling the truth. I hope his good fortune rubs off on the rest of us. We all could use a step up!!
As we have a close knit family, the story spread quickly and I ended up having everyone call me to find out if it was the truth.
Congratulations to all of those that can be that lucky. Unfortunately, it does not happen for all of us, so we have to applaud those that are the lucky ones!!
